Born and raised in Washington, D.C., singer, songwriter and MC, Niambi Ra, masterfully moves between the genres of soul, R&B, and Hip-Hop as she delivers a uniquely distinctive intergalactic musical experience intended to inspire global audiences across demographics.

A Broadway star (The Book of Mormon) trained in musical theatre, Niambi Ra uses her background in engaging audiences through live performance, in order to wow listeners on and off the stage and through the airwaves.

Niambi Ra and her band The Blackstarz, perform all throughout New York City, drawing from musical greats such as A Tribe Called Quest, Bob Markley, Chaka Khan, Missy Elliot, Erykah Badu, Sun Ra, The Foreign Exchange, Earth Wind and Fire, and her hometown sound of Go-Go with groups like Backyard Band.

With such strong musical influences and a reputation of rocking the mic and keeping a crowd dancing, Niambi Ra & The Blackstarz are releasing their debut EP-Nebula in 2024.
